Siding & exterior walls
Discuss wood and other paintable exterior surfaces, along with appropriate coatings.
Michigan exteriors deal with wet seasons, summer sun, temperature changes and long winters. The finish depends on what happens before a new coat goes on. Peter Gjonaj brings 30+ years of painting experience and offers a 3-year exterior paint warranty, subject to written terms.
Service photograph is illustrative.A faded wall and a peeling wall do not call for the same preparation. Surfaces may need washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, spot priming or repair before a fresh finish makes sense. The right approach changes with the underlying material and the extent of the damage.
Your estimate should separate the surfaces being painted from excluded repairs, list the major preparation work and explain the intended coating system. This matters especially for wood siding, fascia, shutters, garage doors and trim exposed to repeated weather cycles.
Peter has been based in Clinton Township for years and understands the range of houses found across Macomb County and greater Metro Detroit. That local familiarity informs the conversation about exterior maintenance—not a one-size-fits-all promise.
Scope and surface condition determine the plan. The items below are conversation starters, not promises that every optional service is included.
Discuss wood and other paintable exterior surfaces, along with appropriate coatings.
Detailed work around shutters, window trim, entry doors, garage doors and exposed wood.
Review washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, priming, weather conditions and cleanup.
A detailed bid helps you compare the work being proposed—not just the final number. Peter's work is positioned on experience and quality, rather than being the lowest-priced option.
Describe your projectExterior coatings have temperature, surface-moisture and drying requirements. Rather than promising that every spring or fall day is paintable, plan around the specific product and actual conditions. Our region also experiences freezing temperatures and seasonal snow, making maintenance and water management important. Ask Peter how weather affects scheduling and surface readiness.

Answers depend on the surfaces, condition and project scope. A conversation is better than a blanket promise.
A 3-year exterior paint warranty is advertised. Ask for written coverage, eligibility, exclusions and maintenance obligations with the estimate.
The cause and extent of failure should be evaluated first; simply covering loose paint is not a sound preparation plan.
The available window depends on the coating, actual surface temperatures, moisture and drying conditions—not the calendar alone.
Describe the age and surfaces of the house. Pre-1978 housing may require lead-safe practices where painted surfaces will be disturbed; certifications must be verified before covered work.
